Dr. Brett Lamb
GP (MBBS) / Anaesthetics / FACRRM
Past experience:
I am a passionate rural GP who gained my medical qualification at Flinders University studying in Adelaide and the Northern Territory. Before this I worked for several years as a rural and remote physiotherapist. I also have a sub speciality in Anaesthetics and thoroughly enjoy the variety of medical work we see in the Great Southern, mostly in beautiful Denmark, but also Albany and Katanning.
What I enjoy about being a GP:
Being a GP means I’m able to marry my medical knowledge with my past work as a physiotherapist and broader life experiences. Getting to know clients and their extended families is one of the unique privileges of being a rural doctor. As a rural GP there is a wonderful variety to my work including general practice, emergency medicine, acute hospital care, nursing home and anaesthetics.
Special Interests:
I’m fond of all the variety that comes with general practice. The people and their stories are endlessly interesting! I have a natural aptitude for musculoskeletal medicine. However, I’m happy to see anyone about anything and if I don’t know the answer I’ll find out!!
Personal interests:
I am happily married with four children! Besides spending time with my family I relish toasting to life with friends, exploring our Rainbow Coast and surfing. We’ve always been country people and plan to stay that way!
